What inspires me most about my job is actually living the quote "teamwork makes the dream work." Each day I am inspired by how hard my colleagues and I work together to close the achievement gap.
Why did you choose to be part of the charter school movement?
Growing up in an urban environment I saw many of my peers fall victim to the education system and its many failures. I decided that with my background in office and administration work I could make a difference in a school's operation and efficiency. Charter schools offered the freedom to make a true difference in the community.
Who is your hero?
My hero is my dad. As a child I watched my him gear up for work each day as a New York City detective which to me defines the words brave and strong.
